- Always have a cover page
- Every character that has a speaking role is in capital letters
- Capitalize any sound that is important to the narrative
- Dialogue is formatted in the center
- Use master headers for location
- Put the action or what is taking place under the master header
- Put o.s if it's off screen, put o.c if it's off camera and put v.o if it's a voice over
- Use a sub heading when it is in the same location but in a new part of the location
- When action interrupts dialogue make a new indentation
- Write out all numbers because each page has to be a minute long
- If something needs emphasis underline
- Indicate who you are talking to
